Secrets to Losing Weight Fast

Many of us have a time in our lives when we have to lose weight. The amount of weight that we need to lose may vary but the methods and techniques behind this are the same. If we have a reason to lose weight then we usually want to do this in the quickest way possible. You only have to look online to find hundreds of people wanting to sell you miracle weight loss pills, methods and even injections to help those pounds disappear even quicker.

I suppose you could say that there are 3 secrets to weight loss – however these are probably the most known secrets. Truth is there is no real secret to weight loss and being healthier they are just tips that we forget or think are not important.

Secret 1 – Motivation and Will Power

The real truth is that you will not lose weight unless you really want to. You will not have the motivation to give up junk food for good and avoid things that are bad for you unless you really want to. Without the proper will power to change for the better you will simply slip back into your old habits.

You also need to want to lose weight for you. Losing weight to please others or for any other reason will simply not work. You need to want to lose weight for yourself and no one else

Secret 2 – Eating Habits

Truth is a lot of us already know the right foods to eat however each too much of it. Portion size especially at meals times can be a big cause of our weight gain. Try and make sure that most of your plate is filled with vegetables or salad. Limit the amount of meat or fish you have as well. Dinner plates come in different sizes so try and buy a smaller plate so that you are less tempted to pile up your portions.

Also look at the snacks you eat throughout the day. Many of us snack more than we realize. A chocolate bar mid morning and some biscuits with a hot drink mid afternoon add up if you are doing this every day. Try and swap your snacks for something healthier – fruit, seeds or nuts are great alternatives.

Secret 3 – Exercise

Many of us feel that we are simply too busy to exercise. This is because we assume that exercise means joining a gym or doing a full on work out. The truth is that we can fit in exercise through out our whole day without really realizing it. From now on don’t take the lift, always use the stairs, park further away from work or getting off the bus a few stops early as these will always help. If you are going to a friend’s house walk instead of getting a taxi or just get up and walk the dog in evening. All of these are easy, simple ways to fit exercise into your day without really taking up too much of your time at all.

So really there is no secret to losing weight fast, however there are some ways to make your life easier if you do decide to diet and lose body fat.
