Write down your weight loss plan and abide by it

Once you have identified and set out your weight loss plan it is often easy to become complacent or talk yourself out of committing to the program.  The best way to sustain focus and remember the program you have designed is to simply write it down.

Having your program on paper allows you also to refer to the plan and update a chart, recording your progress allowing you to identify what is working, and whether or not the plan is benefiting you in terms of weight, health and fitness.

Below is a basic plan, but one which may suit you and others.  It is included as a template to base your own diet program on and resembles a weekly timetable somewhat.
Week 1

Exercise - One 20 minute walk every lunch time.
Alcohol - None during weekdays, two small glasses of wine on Weekends.
Food - No chocolate or biscuits during the week.  No fried or fast food.  Cut fat from meat.  Choose healthy replacement snacks such as fruit.
Once you begin your plan, weigh yourself once per week in the morning before a healthy breakfast.  Don’t expect immediate results, but after a month or two compare your weight with your initial weight and also use how loose your clothing becomes as a measure of how much weight you’re losing.

We recommend logging your results each week, and striving towards achievable targets to keep you motivated and eating healthy.
